		<description>So with this Vista example with 2GB of RAM thats 20 seconds to shutdown and nearly 2mins to startup and get a usable desktop.

My 1GB Windows XP Home model takes about 50 seconds to shutdown and about 50 seconds to get a very usable desktop.

That said, I nearly always leave mine in standby, and that is very quick to get a usable desktop less than 10 seconds.

I&#039;m going to give it a go and see how I get on.</description>
